Professor Emeritus Jui-Teng Ho, the department's first chair, passed away on June 20, 2011.
The first chair of the department, Professor Emeritus R. T. Ho, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 20, 2011, completing his 92 years of life.
Professor Ho was instrumental in nurturing numerous Japanese language talents and promoting academic exchanges between Taiwan and Japan.
The faculty and students of the department would like to express their deepest condolences and memorials.
