Announcement for Application for Hope Scholarships of National Taiwan University

I. Hope Grant Scholarship of National Taiwan University
(1) Organizer: Student Assistance Division
(2) Target: Students with government-issued certificates for low-income households, low- and middle-income households, families in special circumstances (within the validity period), and students with low income, or students whose annual family income is less than NT$800,000, interest income is less than NT$10,000, and profit income is less than NT$50,000 during their college years.
(3) The amount of the scholarship: $40,000, $50,000, or $80,000 per academic year, to be paid in installments during the first and second semesters.
(4) Students who are eligible for tuition and fee remission from the Ministry of Education (e.g., those with government-issued certificates for low-income households, low- and middle-income households, and families in special circumstances) will be disqualified and denied if they are found to have failed to cooperate with the application process before funding.

II. Hope Scholarship of National Taiwan University
(1) Organizer: Undergraduate Academic Affairs Division, National Taiwan University Office of Academic Affairs, with the assistance of the Student Assistance Division, Office of Academic Affairs, in where will receive the application on behalf of the applicant (if you have any question about the regulations of the Hope Scholarship, please contact the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Division Registrar's Office first).
(2) Target: Students who have received a government-issued certificate (within the validity period) from low-income households, low- and middle-income households, and families in special circumstances during their academic year of study at a university in Taiwan (the academic ranking of the previous academic year from the second academic year onward must be within the top 30% of the students of the same grade in the department (group), and the minimum number of credits must be completed in accordance with the regulations).
(3) Amount of the scholarship: $60,000 or $100,000 per academic year, divided between the first and second semesters.

III. Application Period (Late applications will not be accepted)
(1) Application period for Stage 1 (alumni): July 18 to August 5, 111.
(2) Phase 2 application period (freshmen): August 22, 111 to September 8, 111.


IV. Application method: Local students should first complete the online application in our student financial support system (https://my.ntu.edu.tw/fao/login.aspx), then print out the "Special Application Form" (2 pages) and submit it to the Student Assistance Division, Office of Academic Affairs, along with other documents for processing (overseas students should first contact the Overseas and Land Students Counseling Section of the Office of the Dean of Students to apply for the Ministry of Education (For overseas students, please contact the Overseas Students Advising Division, Office of Student Affairs to apply for the Qing Han Overseas Chinese Scholarship.)
