Application For Credits Waiver For Japanese Language Courses of Department of Japanese Language And Literature

Please provide the following information to the Department Office as soon as possible before the online application deadline for early review.

1. Transcripts of the original school from which the student wishes to receive credit for Japanese language subjects
2. List of courses for which credit is applied to waived(including the course name and credits of our school and the course name and credits of the foreign school)
3. Course syllabus of the subject(s) for which the student wishes to receive credit

Documents that were mentioned above can be sent through email to b92107049@ntu.edu.tw with the subject line "Application for Credit to be Waived" and provide your student name and phone number for contact. Or you can send a paper copy of the application form directly to the Department office.

Students from Department of Japanese Language and Literature who wish to apply for credits waiver must submit their original transcripts to the Department Office.

It is also required to complete the online application (including the uploading of transcripts and course syllabus).

※Students who are not from DJLL but wish to apply for credit waiverfor "Japanese (1) (2)", "Japanese I", "Japanese II", and "Japanese III", as well as Japanese students who do not apply for credit for subjects related to "Japanese major", do not need to cooperate with the above-mentioned items, but only need to complete the school's online application (including the submission of transcripts and course outlines, and the submission of original transcripts to their departmental offices). Failure to submit the whole transcripts and course syllabus is equivalent to missing information in the application and will not be granted credit.

※The student may not apply for a credit waiver by the credits of second foreign language course for advanced high school students.

※Credits cannot be applied by the "Japanese Language Proficiency Test" certificate.

※The Eastern Asian language courses aside from Japanese language courses(Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Malay, Indonesian, and Filipino) will be transferred to the Foreign Language Teaching and Resource Center of the College of Liberal Arts from the academic year 2017. Please contact the Center for Foreign Language Teaching and Resources for credit and other related matters.
