National Taiwan University Department of Japanese Language and Literature Recruiting Full-Time (Project) Faculty

I. Proposed faculty position: Full-time (project) assistant professor or above

II. Quota: 1-2 faculty members specializing in Japanese literature

III. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Japanese literature, Japanese linguistics, or Japanese education

IV. Start date: August 1, 2024

V. Application materials (hard copies required):
1. Application form (Please download the form from the department website and send the Word file to japanese@ntu.edu.tw in addition to the hard copy.)
2. One resume in Chinese, English, or Japanese
3. List of publications
4. Copy of doctoral degree certificate (For foreign degrees, verification is required through the verification process of our overseas office.)
5. Original copies of transcripts for master's and doctoral programs
6. Two recommendation letters (sealed)
7. Course syllabus for proposed specialized courses and basic language courses, at least one for each
8. One to three representative works published within the last five years (must be published after August 2019) (At least two should be journal or book articles, with one book representing the works.)
9. Up to three reference works published within the last seven years (must be published after August 2017), six copies each
10. If applicable, provide one copy of proof of current position and experience
11. If applicable, provide one copy of the teacher's certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China

VIII. After the initial review by the department, trial lectures and interviews will be arranged around late November to mid-December 2023 (travel expenses are to be covered by the applicants). Failure to attend the interview will be considered as giving up the application.
