Regulations for Subsidized Bachelor's Degree Students' Study Abroad in Department of Japanese Language and Literature of National Taiwan University

I. This regulation is designed to enhance the international perspective of our undergraduate students (including international students), to promote international academic and cultural exchange, and to encourage our students to study abroad.
II. The grants for students in our department to study abroad are allocated to the Department's internationalization projects from the College of Liberal Arts' second period of the Toward a Top University program recurring overseas travel expenses, which may be adjusted according to the funding situation until they are used up.
III. Target Recipients:
(1) Students of our department who are recommend to be exchange students (with either school, college, or department level).
(2) Students from our department who are going abroad to present papers at academic conferences.
IV. The following are the criteria for subsidies:
(1) The amount of the subsidy and number of students going abroad for exchange will depend on the budget of the current academic year.
(2) For students who are going to present papers at academic conferences abroad, the subsidy is limited to NT$30,000.
V. Documents for Application: Applicants should submit application forms, transcripts, autobiographies, and plans for studying abroad or research. Applicants who present papers at academic conferences should also submit a thesis outline and relevant documents.
VI. Application and Review:
(1) The application process shall be completed within the deadline announced by the department.
(2) This grant will be reviewed and decided by the members of the Department's Scholarship Review Committee in a meeting.
VII. Those who have received subsidies from other units for the same period of time and the same reason for applying for subsidies shall not apply for this subsidy again.
VIII. This regulation has been approved by the department assembly and shall be effective from the date of publication.
