Application Period: (Exchange Students) September 19~October 3, 2011 (for those who present papers at academic conferences) in anytime. Please submit paper to the department office or electronic files to japanese@ntu.edu.tw
I. This direction is designed to enhance the international perspective of our undergraduate students (including international students), to promote international academic and cultural exchange, and to encourage our students to study abroad.
II. The grants for studying abroad in our department are allocated to the Second Period of Top University Plan from the College of Liberal Arts. The recurring overseas travel expenses, which may be adjusted according to the funding situation are paid by this project until they are used up.
III. Target Audience
(1) Students of the department who are recommend for the exchange project(school, college, or department level).
(2) Students from the department who is goiong abroad to present papers at academic conferences.
IV. The followings are the criteria for subsidies
(1) The amount and number of students going abroad for exchange will depend on the budget of the current academic year.
(2) For students who present papers at academic conferences abroad, the subsidy is limited to NT$30,000.
V. Application documents: Applicants should submit application forms, transcripts, autobiographies, and study or research plans. Applicants who present papers at academic conferences abroad should also submit a thesis outline and relevant supporting documents.
VI. Application and Screening Process
(1) The application process shall be completed within the deadline announced by the department.
(2) This grant will be reviewed and screened by the members of the Department's Scholarship Review Committee in a meeting.
VII. Those who have received subsidies from other units for the same period of time and the same reason for applying for subsidies shall not apply for this subsidy again.
VIII. This direction has been approved by the department assembly and shall be implemented from the date of announcement.
